Aviation Electronics Technician Airman Andrew Scott Charpentier, of Great Falls, Montana, lived a life full of passion and purpose. From a young age, he pursued various interests, including sports, scouting, drama, and music. Andrew’s exceptional talent as a self-taught guitarist and songwriter was undeniable, and he played with numerous local bands.
After graduating from C.M. Russell High School in 2007, Andrew enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he excelled in the Aircraft Electronics Technician program in Pensacola, Florida. He was then stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he proudly served as a member of the Joint Task Force Security Operation. Despite the challenging conditions, Andrew earned honors and medals for his courage and outstanding service outside the line of duty.
Andrew married the love of his life, Kathleen, shortly before his untimely passing. He had a strong faith in God and was a loving and generous person who touched many lives. Although he passed away on July 23 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, from a non-combat related illness, his legacy lives on. Andrew’s unwavering commitment to serving his country and his selflessness in protecting others are an inspiration to all who knew him.
